Field of Dreams Learning
For graduate Salino Rios, the personalized attention she received at FODL made all the difference for her. “At Field of Dreams we get a lot of one-on-one time with teachers and staff. That’s important.” Moreover, Rios points out that due to the small class size, it’s unlikely that a student can fly under the radar like they could at a traditional high school.
Likewise, the teachers demand much of their students. “A student coming to Field of Dreams should understand that the only reason the teachers are hard on you is so that all of your dreams can come true.”
Students receive college and career training and counseling. They have opportunities to visit local colleges, join a college bridge program, and receive support in applying to college. Students can also be placed at an internship for career readiness.

In partnership with YouthBuild Charter School of California, we offer on-site classes from the 9th through the 12th grade. Students can earn a WASC accredited High School Diploma, while being prepared to enter college and find a career.
Students will be trained to be young leaders in their community. FoDL has formed partnerships and developed community service opportunities for students with local community agencies, such as hospitals, environmental organizations, and food banks
